25 tips for an extraordinary life

We all want to live an extraordinary life.  I have found these 25 tips to be extremely useful for me to create my extraordinary life.

1. Wake up early

Waking up early allows you to take care of yourself and do your morning practice before the family is awake or anyone from your work tries to reach you.  5 am works for me.

2. Meditate daily

Meditation is an absolute essential to live a balanced life. A daily practice of 15 minutes in the morning as soon as you get up allows you to be in silence, be centred and be fully present to your life.

3. Be grateful

Gratitude is one of the highest vibration emotion.  By being grateful every day and recogning all that is good in our life, we go in our heart and are more present to the immense beauty of our life.

4. Set an intention daily

Having an intention daily allows us to be the creator if our life.  If you do not set an intention, you are living other people intentions. You are like a boat without a rudder.

5. Create a clear vision for your life

Words have energy.  Setting an intention for your life allows you to be drawn towards this inspiring future instead of letting your past dictate your future.

6. Read 

Read at least one inspiring book a month.  To be inspired to greatness and be on top of your game, you need to acquire new knowledge. Vary your reading. Try some books on Conscious Leadership or Quantum Physics. 

7. Embody

Acquiring new knowledge is good but not enough.  Wisdom is embodied knowledge.  Work on integrating all this new knowledge in your way of being so you can rise to your full potential and step into your greatness. 

8. Choose your friends

You are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with.  Choose wisely.

9. Let go of your fears and limiting beliefs

Most of your fears and limiting beliefs originate from your youth. You have inherited them from your parental and societal programming.  Letting them go allows you to stop letting your past dictate your future and become the creator of your life. 

10. Identify your key values

Your values are energetic drivers of your aspirations and intentions. Choose them carefully. 

11. Forgive

Having a grudge towards those that have wronged us keeps us prisoners of the past. Forgive all those that have wronged you so you can be free.

12. Be grounded

Being grounded allows you to feel centered, solid, balanced, less tense and less stressed.  Walk feet naked on the grass, take a stroll in the forest, hug a tree.

13. Be a giver

In life, there are givers and takers.  Be a giver. Trust me, this is the best way to receive

14. Fall in love

Fall in love with yourself first. You cannot love others more than you love yourself. Write a love letter to yourself just like you would to a lover.

15. Heal yourself

Repeat this Hawaiian healing prayer many times a day talking to your inner child. I am sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you. When someone does something that upsets you. Heal yourself. Everyone in your life is your creation. 

16. Let go of your TV

Give up your TV and focus on learning or connecting with other people.

17. Connect

Connect with inspiring people. Join a community of like minded people. Be inspired by them. Inspire other people. 

18. Focus on experiences

Life is all about experiences. When you leave earth one day,  you will not take all your material possessions with you but you will take what is in your heart. Experiment new things with courage. 

19. Be fearless

Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche used to say:"Being fearless is recognizing our fears and stepping through them with an open heart.  Go forward with courage. Courage breeds courage. 

20. Celebrate

Celebrate often. Celebrate the small wins and small moments as much as the big one.  Life is bliss. 

21. Be impeccable with your word

Be a person of integrity. Be trustworthy. Do as you say.  

22. Focus on excellence, let go of perfection

Perfection paralyzes as it does not leave any room for errors.  Excellence is energizing as it allows growth and learning from mistakes. 

23. Focus on Being

Focus on Being as much as Doing. Slow down. Be present. Presence unlocks the door to love, joy and peace.

24. Let go of the opinion of others

You are amazing. You are unique. Only you can live your life. Others can live theirs.

25. Smile and say thank you

Wherever you go, smile at people and say thank you.  Be one of these people that give energy to others.
