Do you have a heart?

As a leader, how much do you use your head and how much do you use your heart in your leadership?

In my 30 years in business, I have observed that many leaders use their mostly their head and forget their heart.

That the focus for most leaders is on powerpoint, KPI's and short-term results.

Many seem to forget that they are leading people who are human and have fears, hopes, and ambitions.

Many CEO's are treated like rock stars or superstar athletes and get big rewards for leading abusively and their lack of care for employees.

Why should a CEO who fired several thousands of employees and whose stock price has shrunk significantly since the beginning of his tenure be worth a 10M$ compensation package?

Why do we reward heartless leaders and short-term results which only boosts the leaders' compensation but destroy the long-term viability of the company and has negative impacts on the lives of the employees?

Isn't it time for us to wake up realize how insane this is?

Isn't it time for us to start leading with our hearts and actually care for the people we lead and serve?

Isn't it time to lead in a way that will create a positive future for all future generations?

I believe it is time for all of us to awaken to a new way of being a leader and to embrace a love based leadership called conscious leadership.

A leadership guided by an inspiring vision and powered by solid values where leaders focus on the need of the whole instead of their personal needs and are committed to the well-being of all stakeholders and to co-create a promising future for all future generations.
