It does not interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for and if you dream of meeting your heart longing. - Oriah

You are unique. There has never been any anyone like you and there will never be anyone exactly like you. You have a special purpose in this life that is uniquely yours. and this purpose has nothing to do with making money or maximizing shareholder value. It has to do with contributing to others.

You have special talents and a certain personality perfectly suited to this purpose. This purpose may be totally different than your current profession.

For a long time, I believed my purpose was to be a senior executive in business and to achieve a high level of performance to maximize the profits for the company. I did not know about my life purpose until a few years ago. I pursued my mission of being a business executive for a long time and I put so much efforts into it that I achieved exceptional results and I rose through the ranks of the companies I served. But, I was not truly happy as I felt something was missing and I felt that some of the values of the companies I worked for were not aligned with some of my most important values.

The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away. - Pablo Picasso

Five years ago, I had an insight that my soul purpose was to be a catalyst for the transformation of leaders and organizations. Even if I was an operations senior executive, what I loved the most about my job was to develop leaders and help them grow into their full potential. I dreamed of leading an international organization to help leaders and organizations around the world transform and grow into their full potential, to be an international speaker, a best selling author, an impactful coach and someone what would play a major role in improving society. I wrote this in a note book but I did not have the courage to pursue my dream.

I thought to myself, "who am I to think I could do this?" After all, I was a senior executive in a large international company with a position I had worked so hard to achieve. A few months later I was fired from my company even though I was one of the most effective transformational leader and the company needed to transform badly. This created a huge crisis for me and my family.

This would have been the perfect time to start my own business and pursue my dream but I did not have the courage to do it. I found another job a senior operations executive in another company and led a major transformation of the operations and again, after 15 months, I was asked to leave.

Again this would have been the perfect time to start my own business and pursue my dreams, but I did not have the courage. Instead I searched for another senior executive position for ten months with no success. It is quite normal that I did not find another position as I knew in my heart, this is not what I wanted to do. I knew I was destined to play a different role.

Then one day I had the insight it was time to organize a one day transformational leadership conference. The next day, I got a call from a company to give a conference on transformational leadership to their leadership team. I prepared thoroughly for this conference and immersed myself into the world of transformation which I found highly motivating. I gave the conference and it was a huge success. This gave me the motivation to take the steps to organize this one day conference for the public and I booked the venue and announced the conference publicly.

Following this, I got the courage to create my own business with my business partner and embrace my life purpose of bring a catalyst for the transformation of leaders and organizations.

I am very excited about my life purpose as I feel this is exactly what were are here on earth to do. I keep meeting many extraordinary people and I feel I am are being used for a much bigger purpose than us. I am very touched that I have have found my life purpose and I am able to carry it through.

You too have a life purpose and all you need to do to find it out is to listen to the whispers of your soul. To listen to what emerges when you are sitting quietly in your living room late at night, or walking in the woods. The voice of your soul will whisper to you if you are willing to listen.

In following your soul purpose, you will find love, joy and fulfilment.
